What is Void Formwork System?
A void formwork system is a concrete-shaping structure made of recycled plastic that is used only once and stays inside the slab. Also known as disposable or permanent formwork, it creates reinforced concrete raised floors up to 300 cm — the lightest, fastest and most economical alternative to conventional fill applications.
In the UAE and across the GCC it is the best option for sunken slab fills, landscape fills, amenity floors, car park ramps, swimming pool decks, fills between foundation footings and more. Two systems cover every height: ABS Void Formworks (lightweight fill) and Volimax Voided Slab System (bidirectional hollow slabs, up to 25% structural weight reduction).

Volimax Voided Slab System
Volimax voided slab system creates bidirectional hollow reinforced concrete slabs, also called voided slabs, by forming air gaps in the slab that are fully covered with concrete. Volimax voided slab system are concrete shaping elements made of recycled PP and they are only used once. The system reduces total structural weight up to 25%, saving on concrete and steel.
